Nose
Lots of spicy sherry, chocolate, cinnamon, ripe banana, raisins, nuts (Brazil nuts, pecans), leather, wax. Vanilla, green apple, marzipan, zesty orange, gingerbread, baking spice, earthy sherry, sticky toffee pudding, apple pie with red apples and sultanas.
Palate
Sharp with milk chocolate and oak. Red and black pepper, leather, cinnamon. Sweet. Peppery with ripe banana, ground coffee, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pineapple, charred oak. Shortcrust pastry, muscovado sugar, baked red apples, toasted oak.
Finish
Mellow, sweet, candy, raisins, chocolate, Brazil nuts, pepper. Bitter and long. Gooey treacle tart. Black treacle, cocoa powder, edge of slightly bitter oak.
