Description

Released in 2023, this was the third and final release of the distillery's Manager's Dram bottlings. This 'smooth peated' whisky has been matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. A Highland malt distillery and one of the oldest in Scotland, founded in 1763. Nose
Sour peat, berries, deep sherry cask influence. Ash, burnt wood, black tea, wonderful fresh crispy bread! Dried hay, beacon, herbs and slightly earthy. Fresh bakery, malted and farmy aromas. A great Christmas nose.
Palate
Burnt rubber, wood, breadcrumbs and dry hay again. Beacon, grilled beef, red berries, soft and distinctive blueberry, candied orange, marzipan, and creamy-cheesecake.
Finish
More herbal and oily. Honey, old wood, grilled vegetables, ginger and nuts. Bitter almond. Ash and almond lasts very long.
