Nose
fat smoky aromas of bacon, seaweed, some citrus and new leather, it's remarkably coastal for a landlocked distillate.
Palate
continues this theme with powerful peat smoke developing into tobacco, some rich fruit, over ripe blood orange with a distinctly coastal tang.
Finish
A long finish brings some oak with a little spice mingling with the fading ashy smoke.
