Nose
Rich and fragrant with elegant sherry, raisins, chocolate, fresh fruits (raspberry, red fruits, oranges, gooseberries, guava), eucalyptus, precious wood, library aromas, floral (old roses, peonies). Sweet and intense, creamy toffee, almond, pear pie, candied rhubarb, flowering-currant, resinous hint.
Palate
Intense with layers, plenty of wood, fruit (orange cake, apricot, raspberries, prunes), cinnamon, nutmeg, almonds, hints of cough syrup. Big and chunky mouthfeel, prominent sherry, big woodiness, delicious fruit and honeyed sweetness, bitter dark chocolate, savoury qualities. Sooth, velvety, fruity creaminess, marzipan.
Finish
Fading slowly on big chocolate notes and liquorice, hints of tea. Long and mouthwatering, savoury and slightly drying but not too tannic or woody. Dry with enticing gingerbread notes.
