Description

A brand of Japanese whisky produced by Toa Shuzo Co. First introduced in the 1970s, it was originally bottled using imported bulk whisky from Scotland before being reinvented as a vehicle for Hanyu single malt in 2000. Subsequently discontinued, it was revived as a blend again in 2016. This particular bottling is a very rare example of a Hanyu single malt whisky, distilled by Toa Shuzo Co Ltd, who procured the Hanyu distillery in 2004. The whisky was bottled in July 2008 at 12 years of age.
