Description

Created in 1863 by Glasgow merchant Robert McNish, Grand Macnish is one of the oldest continuously available Scotch whisky blends in the world. It was developed to be a lighter, smoother Scotch, originally drawing on over 40 Highland and Speyside malts and grain whiskies. This entry-level blend is bottled at 40% ABV and is known for its smooth and approachable character.

Nose
Young, feral, and lively, combining lavender and heather, with notes of whole orange peel, ground hazelnut, and a dusting of ground ginger. Sweet grain, malt, caramel, light peat, oak, straw, leather, honey, and lemon are also present.
Palate
Light and sweet, with vanilla fudge and floral notes, mandarin citrus, fresh summer fruits, and a pronounced ginger spice. Sweet grain, caramel, toffee, honey, malt, and light spices are also evident.
Finish
Short and dry with toffee, oak, and floral notes, and a salty touch. It is surprisingly rich and mellow, carrying lingering traces of warm spice and a gentle sweetness.
