Description

A bottle of Grant's 25 Year Old Rare & Distinctive Blended Scotch Whisky, a winner of Gold Medals at both the 2014 International Spirits Challenge and the 2014 Scotch Whisky Masters. This was bottled from batch number 09/0614. It is a blend of 25 malt and grain whiskies, including the first whisky ever laid down at Grant's Girvan distillery, along with rare whiskies from distilleries no longer in existence.

Complex notes of fragrant peach blossom and polished leather, with waxed fruit, sweet apples, pears, light spice, sweet pastry, pungent honey, sugared raisins, and a touch of glue.
Palate
Soft and oily with light black pepper, dried apple rings, hints of liquorice, orange peel, cinnamon, ginger, and spicy wood. Mellow and rounded with pastry and baked apple.
Finish
Enthralling, spicy, dry smoky, lightly spiced with tar notes returning. Long lasting with dark chocolate and juicy Oloroso.
