Description

Guckenheimer Blended Whiskey Imperial Quart (1940's) is a vintage blended whiskey, produced by the American Distilling Company in Pekin, Illinois. The historic Guckenheimer brand was originally produced by the Pennsylvania Distilling Co. in Freeport, established in 1855. By the early 1900s, the plant was one of the largest rye whiskey facilities in the world, using 2100 bushels of grain every day. The American Distilling Company acquired the brand after Prohibition, and started using the Guckenheimer name for its blended whiskies. The blend consists for 35% of straight whiskies that aged for at least five years, and for 65% of grain neutral spirits.
