Description

Haig's Gold Label late 1930s Quarter Bottle "By Appointment To The Late King George V" John Haig & Co was established in 1824 with the foundation of the Cameronbridge distillery. Already part of a great distilling dynasty, John's uncles had all been distillery owners, and his aunt had been married to John Jameson in Dublin. John Haig & Co were one of the five founding members of DCL in 1877. This is a classic and easy drinking blended Scotch whisky from the pre-war 1930s era, which was one of the most popular Scotch whiskies in the world until the 1970s [2, 7].
