Hakushu First Class for Moegi no Mura, White Oak, Spanish Oak & American Oak Cask, 2024, 51%

From Suntory's Hakushu distillery, this 'First Class' expression was bottled in 2024 in collaboration with Moegi no Mura, a tourist complex in Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a cask-strength vatting of five Hakushu single malt vintages (1977, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2006), with the oldest aged for 46 years. The blend includes malts matured in white oak, Spanish oak, and American oak casks, and features a heavily peated component from 1988. This limited edition release of 200 bottles was primarily exclusive to Bar Pech in Moegi no Mura, with only four bottles made available for general public sale. The whisky was blended by Suntory Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo.
