Description

A flagship of the Hellyers Road distillery, this single malt is produced on the island of Tasmania in southern Australia from locally malted barley. This expression, aged in ex-bourbon casks, completed its maturation in former local pinot noir casks. Indeed, Tasmania is a fascinating wine region well-suited for cultivating this grape variety, producing fresh and elegant wines. Unchillfiltered, this delightful spirit evokes all the complexities of a Tasmanian rainforest entwined with subtle fresh berry fruits.

Notes of citrus, lemon, and blackcurrant.

Remarkable finesse of the woodiness. Bourbon-vanilla, pepper, and cinnamon create a mid-palate full of freshness.

Long, balanced. In a flash, chocolate has replaced the vanilla.
