Description
Henry Large Bottled in Bond Monongahela Pure Rye is an American Rye Whiskey from Pennsylvania's historic Monongahela River Valley. This style of rye was the first American whiskey to gain widespread recognition. Produced under the strict 'Bottled in Bond' regulations, it was distilled by Henry Large or The Large Distilling Co., a major producer of rye whiskey in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Monongahela rye typically featured a mashbill of rye and barley malt, often in a 4 to 1 ratio, and was known for being 'heavy-bodied' and 'heartiest of all bonded rye whiskies'.
