Description
Hibiki is a Japanese blend launched by the whisky giant Suntory in 1989 to celebrate their 90th anniversary. This special Kacho Fugetsu edition, released in 2015, is a rare and beautifully designed expression that celebrates Japan's natural landscapes, flora, and fauna. It incorporates malt whiskies from Suntory's Hakushu and Yamazaki distilleries and grain whisky from the Chita distillery, partially matured in plum liquor casks, ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and Mizunara oak casks. The bottle's 24 facets represent the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar. This limited edition was primarily released for the travel retail market with a global production of only about 2,000 bottles. It has received multiple awards, including Gold Medals at the International Spirits Challenge and Double Gold Medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
