Nose
The nose opens with the quintessential Highland Park notes of heather and honey, then drifts into coastal sea air and red apples, though there's a fair bit of alcohol to contend with here.
Palate
The palate is more approachable, showcasing smoky charred wood, a saline note, simple syrup, and honey. The mouthfeel is enjoyable.
Finish
There's perhaps a tad too much cinnamon spice on the finish, but once you get past the alcohol on the nose, you find it's quite an enjoyable dram.
