This Highland Park 12 Year Old Single Cask was specially selected and bottled for Maxxium Netherlands. Highland Park is the largest and oldest malt whisky distillery in the Orkney archipelago, founded in 1798. It is renowned for the unique flavor provided by local Orcadian peat. Sweet mixed dry fruit (sultanas, dates, prunes, raisins), milk chocolate, very sweet and rich. Peat is almost undetectable. Sweetness intensifies with water.
Palate
Powerful impact, sweet molasses, dry fruits, dark chocolate notes, major tickling on the tongue.
Finish
Long comforting ending on espresso coffee and dark chocolate. Very distant smoke notes, hardly detectable.
