A hard-to-find 1980's, screen-printed 75cl bottle of 12-year-old from Orkney distillery Highland Park, matured in Sherry casks from Spain. A uniquely smooth, balanced single malt, with a rich full flavour and gentle smokey finish.

Nose
Very citrusy with orange peel and mandarin, accompanied by walnuts, sultanas, marzipan, toffee, shortbread. A soft and sweet profile, full and satisfying, with a wisp of peat smoke, sea spray, heather, and floral notes.
Palate
Peat emerges with soft delicacy, embracing spicy citrus fruits and a pronounced saline note. Notes of salted butter with honey, dried fruit, nutmeg, and a slight hint of wood. Thickly honeyed with peppery sea spray, sweet maltiness, caramel, and juicy fruit.
Finish
Not very long, with notes of ash, salted butter, and spices. A quick hit of smoke, malt cereal, and sometimes a bitter iron note. Deep and smoky with embers.
