Description

The largest and oldest malt whisky distillery in the Orkney archipelago, located in Kirkwall on the main island. Founded in 1798, it is today part of the holdings of the Edrington Group and its whisky is world-renowned for the unique flavour provided to it by local Orcadian peat. This special Highland Park release was bottled to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first RNLI lifeboat being launched at Stromness on Orkney in 1867. Highland Park pledged to donate a portion of the sales from this special edition to support local RNLI activities on Orkney.

Rich and powerful with waves of sweet vanilla, toasted oak, and sea-salt caramel, balanced by warming spices, dark chocolate, and a touch of Orkney's heathery peat.
Finish
Long and complex with lingering maritime notes, gentle smokiness, and dried fruit sweetness that fades slowly like the setting sun over Stromness harbor.
