Nose
Rich dried fruits, heather honey, orange peel, warm spice, and soft peat smoke, complemented by coastal salinity. Inviting aromas of spiced gingerbread, smouldering peat smoke, molten black treacle, caramel, creamy chocolate, nuts, oak, and polished mahogany.
Palate
Full-bodied and complex, with dark chocolate, toffee, roasted nuts, spiced oak, and gentle smoky undertones. Notes of crystallised ginger, sweet nutmeg, warm treacle tart, curls of whittled oak, honey, ripe orchard fruits, warm spices, delicate floral notes, a whisper of coastal sea breeze, earthy cinnamon, and hints of soot.
Finish
Long, warming, and elegant, with lingering impressions of sweet smoke, dried fruit, subtle maritime notes, woody spices, sweet vanilla fudge, old-fashioned aniseed balls, and fragrant peat smoke. The dryness dissipates, revealing dark chocolate with a jam filling, hints of soot and ashes, and softly floral and heathery notes.
