Description

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 1 is the first in an annual series of cask-strength releases from Scotland's northernmost distillery. It is matured predominantly in sherry seasoned American oak casks of different ages, hand-selected by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion. The whisky is directly bottled without chill-filtration and with natural colour, ensuring its essential DNA and natural character remain intact. It is bottled at 63.3% ABV.

Palate
Rich and full-bodied with soft toffee, heather honey, freshly grated nutmeg, sun-ripened citrus fruits, hot pepper, dark honey, maple syrup, sea salt, ginger, apricot, orange oil, dark chocolate, and vanilla.
Finish
Long and lingering with warm Crème Brûlée, exotic Eastern spices, peat smoke, lemon zest, warming peppery notes, caramelised nuts, caramel-drizzled berries, and baking spice.
