Description

Highland Park Quercus is the third installment in the prestigious Keystone Series, celebrating the fundamental elements that define Highland Park's distinctive character. This limited edition bottling, named 'Quercus' after the Latin term for oak, pays homage to the crucial role of oak in the whisky's maturation process. It was released in 2017 as a special edition of 1,200 bottles, exclusively available through the distillery and its online shop. The whisky is matured in selected European and American oak casks, showcasing the influence of wood on its character. It is made from Scottish malted barley, with some peated using Orkney's aromatic heather peat, giving it a distinctive sweet smokiness.
