Description

Highland Park 16 Year Old Twisted Tattoo is a special release single malt whisky created in collaboration with Danish tattoo artist Colin Dale. The design on the bottle and packaging is inspired by the Norse legend of the Midgard serpent. This 16-year-old expression is a marriage of whiskies matured in 153 oak casks seasoned with Spanish Rioja wine and 70 first-fill bourbon casks, resulting in a rich and full-bodied dram with a distinctively different character.

Strawberry jam and heather honey with subtle woodsmoke, vanilla, and pineapple. Baked berry pie, shortbread biscuits, sea spray, and a hint of medicinal peat.
Palate
Bold tropical fruits, toffee, red berries, orange oil, vanilla, cut grass, blueberry muffin, and buttered malt loaf. Mixed baking spices, dark berry cobbler, orange zest, and a light smokiness with a hint of peat.
Finish
Boozy red wine tannins and soft smoke. Licorice and drying oak. Moderate length with a light bit of smoke, peat, smoked gouda, caramel, and crème brulee.
