Description

Highland Park 10 Year Old Viking Scars is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Highland Park distillery, located in the Orkney Islands, the most northerly whisky distillery in Scotland. This 10-year-old expression is part of Highland Park's core range, which underwent a rebrand in 2017 to pay homage to the Viking history of the Orkney Islands. It is matured predominantly in sherry seasoned European and American oak casks.

Fresh fruity notes, light sea breeze, heather, iodine, orchid fruits, vanilla, citrus, and a slight smoke. Mild heather smoke, honey, vanilla, toffee, sun-warmed peat, dark chocolate, and coffee.
Palate
Mellow and spicy with a medium body. Fresh citrus, plums, soft vanilla, honey, grassy and malty notes with a hint of salt. Spicy upfront with pepper, fiery ginger, hot embers, and oranges. Earthy peat and sherry sweetness.
Finish
Short and peppery with white pepper and coffee notes. Caramel, honey, and a touch of sweet smoke. Sea salt, heather, herbaceous hints, and crushed black pepper. Mild cooling peppermint, slightly peaty and bitter with dried fruits and oak.
