Description

This Highland Park 1998 vintage was launched in April 2010 as a full litre bottling, created exclusively for the Global Travel Retail market. It was distilled in 1998, the year of the distillery's bicentenary, and aged for 12 years. With an emphasis on first-fill American oak Sherry casks in its maturation, this vintage reveals the smoky side of Highland Park, attributable to the distinctively aromatic peat from Hobbister Moor. It is part of a series of vintage edition whiskies released by Highland Park.

Aromatic and honeyed, vanilla sweetness, oak, peppermint, heather honey, walnut, nutmeg, cinnamon spice, cashew nuts, cocoa, light spices, citrus, light peat undertone, slightly chewy, dry, faintly bitter and sweet.
Finish
Spiced and sweet, malty, medium lingering spice and smoke, dry, oak, a hint of smoke, fruit and oak fade, leaving peat and pepper, cocoa and malt.
