Having been in specialist and craft Scotch Whisky production for generations, Douglas Laing originally exported blends, but now carries the family name down the line by focusing on bottling exceptional single malts and grains as part of their Old Particular, Provenance and XOP ranges. They also enjoy huge success with their "Remarkable Regional Malts" range; a series of creatively named vatted malts. This is a well-aged indie release of the legendary Orkney malt bottled as part of Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular range. Distilled in September 1996 and matured in one refill hogshead for 20 years until November 2016, this single cask edition was bottled at cask strength 53% ABV. Only 279 bottles were produced.
