Description

This is one of several batches of the A.H. Hirsch Reserve to be bottled as a 16 year old, affectionately known as the 'Gold Wax.' The same label was used by Buffalo Trace for the 2003 release, although that time featured a gold foil seal. This historic bourbon was distilled in 1974 at the Michter's Distillery (also known as Bomberger's) in Pennsylvania, which has been defunct since 1989. Bottler, Julian Van Winkle III, was involved in the bottling of this release. It is considered a legendary and highly collectible bourbon.
