Description

Mars Malt Le Papillon 2013-2019 #1698 is the seventh release in the Le Papillon series from Honbo Shuzo. This single cask, single malt Japanese whisky was distilled at Mars Shinshu Distillery in January 2013 and matured for six years in an American White Oak cask #1698. Bottled in April 2019 at natural cask strength, it yielded 576 bottles and was sold via a lottery system. The Le Papillon series uses butterflies native to Japan as motifs, expressing Japan's natural environment and seasonal climate. This release is themed after the 'Gifucho' (Japanese Luehdorfia).
