Distilled in the heart of Saitama Prefecture, this exceptional single malt was matured for a minimum of ten years in various casks, including ex-bourbon, sherry, and ex-wine barrels, contributing to its remarkable balance and sophistication. Tropical pineapple and ripe mango, entwined with smooth vanilla and golden honey. Pure barley aromas with hints of juniper, star anise, freshly cut grass, peach, green banana, sandalwood, cake dough with vanilla, grapefruit peels, and lemon juice.
Palate
Rich and full-bodied, revealing hints of orange peel, juicy peach, and vibrant redcurrant, underpinned by a delicate touch of white pepper and roasted malt. Eucalyptus tea, caraway seeds, gin-like juniper character, ginger cake, bitter edge of citrus peels, chlorophyll, fresh oak shavings, white pepper, and coconut flakes.
Finish
Long and satisfying, with notes of peach and exotic fruit. Lingering warmth and balanced fruit. Mineral and slightly floral woody side.
