- Nose
- The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt and spice, red and black cherries, liquorice, plums, raisins, pencil shavings, subtle custard, cherry blossom. Young and lively with a fresh grape sweetness, yeastiness, red fruits (strawberry, cranberries and cherries), earthiness and grain/cereal, sweet, winter and wood spices, faint hint of Turkish delight covered in dark chocolate.
- Palate
- Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice. Sweet dessert wine, cherries, strawberries, digestive biscuits, oak, brown bread. Intense, initial palate like sweetened sour plums, soured dried berries, mid palate has flying fish roe, salty, a little fishy, spicy, back palate is fruit juice, boiled jujube juice, some light wood and vines. Very hot upfront, dark fruit, burnt sweetness, tobacco leaves, strawberry, slight smokiness, citrus fruits, Xmas cake mix, floral herbaceouness on the back palate.
- Finish
- Long, spicy and smooth. Strawberries, oak, port, blackberries and blueberries, alcohol air, raisins, lightly grassy, sweet apples, apricot, molasses touch. Medium to long with hot sweet spiciness, citrus fruits and Xmas cake mix, slight bitterness.
