Description

Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries is a blend of malt whiskies from the now-closed Hanyu distillery and the Chichibu distillery, created by Ichiro Akuto. It combines sherry-matured Hanyu single malt with Chichibu single malt matured in Japanese oak. This expression was awarded the 'Best Japanese Blended Malt Award' at the World Whisky Awards in 2009. It is non-chill filtered and uncolored.

Sweet and fruity with citrus, apples, and pears, accompanied by spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, and ginger. Features a combination of young and old oak, malty and biscuity characteristics, and floral elements.
Finish
Dry and fresh with camphor, salt, citrus, ginger, mint, and liquorice. Lingering bitter notes, pebbly texture, and powdery citrus and floral candy, with a honeyed sweetness.
