Nose
Rich, sweet, fruity and spicy with polished oak, red berry fruits, vanilla, and hints of Panna Cotta. Notes of orchard fruit (apples, pears, apricots), tropical fruit (pineapple mango), and various berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, cherries) are present, alongside caramel, milk chocolate, brown sugar, marzipan, porridge, and citrus (orange peel). Further aromas include rum and raisin ice cream, boozy soaked raisins, chocolate covered raisins, dates, figs, panettone, apple skins, fresh coffee, shortbread, and orange peel.
Palate
Floral, lightly sweet with a honey-like quality, rich woodiness, big, boozy, and fruity. It offers a gingery warmth and icing sugar sweetness, with a thick, syrupy arrival and spicy notes. Flavors of mixed fruit jam, apple, pears, peach, peppery spice, and orange barley sugar are evident. Juicy sherry flavors, soft caramel, dark chocolate, and hints of cinnamon and leather contribute to a thick, creamy texture.
Finish
Medium long, dominated by sweet oranges, with lingering oaky dryness, peppery spice, and a fruit bowl of notes. It concludes with bitter and woody undertones.
