Description

From historic Highland distillery Invergordon, comes this impressively well aged single grain whisky. Distilled in 1988, the spirit rested for a remarkable 37 years in a single ex‑rye whiskey barrel, an unusual maturation for such a heritage expression. Only 270 bottles were captured for this extremely rare release by independent bottler Infrequent Flyers. Notes of toasted rye bread and honey.

Nose
Layers of vanilla fudge, coconut macaroon and orange blossom drift over toasted rye bread, demerara syrup and a touch of sandalwood.
Palate
Velvet waves of toffee crème brûlée, ripe pineapple and sweet grain coat the tongue, chased by cinnamon stick, almond brittle and a bright flash of peppery rye spice.
Finish
Long, satin-smooth and gently warming—lingering honeyed grain biscuit, warming oak spice and a final flourish of candied citrus peel.
