Description
A Highland distillery that broke the hegemony of grain whisky being a traditionally Lowland industry when it opened in 1961. In its early days it provided fillings for third-party brands, the business model of Invergordon Distillers, before being merged into the Whyte & Mackay group in 1993. The Creative Whisky Company is a former independent bottling company in Scotland, established in 2004 by David and Dawn Stirk. Invergordon is a large single grain Scotch whisky distillery located in the north Highlands, producing 40 million litres of spirit per year, primarily for blended whisky. Bottlings of their single grain whisky are rare and highly sought after.
