- Nose
- White grapes, red apples and cooked pears. Plenty of vanilla-rich wafts follow, along with a touch of coconut. Floral, fresh linen, grapes, apples, toffee, a touch of acetone maybe. Fruity and Floral; Banana skins and Melon initially, softening to Banana custard. Jasmine brings the floral element. Hints of icing sugar and cinnamon spice.
- Palate
- Bright citrus notes kick things off, joined by nectarine, quince, milky coffee and praline. Nice spices at the beginning, citrus, chocolate, apple skins, and toffee. Melon and pears are at the forefront, but partnered now with a smattering of shortbread and a slight butteriness, both in the taste and mouth feel. Soft and sweet initially, Cantaloupe melon, brown sugar, then warming woody spices follow.
- Finish
- Slightly nutty on the finish with almond and walnut, though still rich in fresh fruit sweetness. Good length – medium to long with wood spice. Only time a hint of oak is picked up is at the end and the vanilla certainly makes an appearance again. A nice balance between sweet melon and wood spice that lingers.
