Description

The Isle of Harris distillery started in 2015 with just 10 people and had the ambition to double over the next five years. Today they have over 50 employees which is quite a high number since less than 2000 people are living on the island! The Hearach is the first single malt whisky from the Isle of Harris with eight different batches being released. Every batch is made with the same recipe but with subtle natural variations due to individual choice of casks and differing 'marrying' periods. This whisky was matured for a minimum of 5 years in a combination of first fill ex-bourbon, Oloroso and Fino sherry butts, and bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings, at a strength of 46% abv.
