Description

The Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a Hebridean single malt, matured first in ex-Rye whisky casks and then finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry casks. This Distillery Special Release offers notes of peppery spice, almonds, nuts, and sweet fruit. It is made with Scottish barley, peated with Highland peat, is natural colour, and non-chill filtered.

Sweet and savoury with boozy cherries and prunes, gingerbread, caramel, bacon fat, black truffle, crusty baguette with smoked ham and tinned olives, fresh citrus peels and black peppercorns.
Palate
Umami and peat notes are subdued, giving way to marzipan-covered fruit cake, dark chocolate, orange syrup, baked pears, pepper and ginger spice, leafy herbs like coriander and basil.
Finish
Smores (graham cracker, marshmallow, chocolate), dried mint and ashy smoke.
