Description
The Jack Daniel's 150th Anniversary is a limited edition Tennessee whiskey released in 2016 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery, which was founded in 1866. This special bottling, crafted by Master Distiller Jeff Arnett, uses the same mash bill as the iconic Old No. 7 (80% corn, 12% barley, 8% rye) but is matured in specially-crafted, slow-toasted new American oak barrels. It is charcoal mellowed through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, a process regional to Tennessee whiskey. The whiskey was aged in the 'angel's roost' of one of the oldest barrelhouses at the distillery, allowing for greater interaction between the whiskey and wood.
