Description
Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey is a world-famous American whiskey produced at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It is renowned for its distinctive character, achieved through the Lincoln County Process, where the freshly distilled whiskey is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging. This process, along with maturation in new charred American oak barrels, contributes to its smooth and approachable flavor profile. The mash bill consists of 80% corn, 12% barley, and 8% rye. Old No. 7 is a no-age-statement whiskey, with the distillery's tasters determining when it's ready. It has won numerous awards, including a Gold Medal at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
