Description

The Jack Daniel Distillery launched its Tennessee Tasters' Selection, a line of limited-release, experimental whiskeys. This 'High Angel's Share Barrels' expression was barreled in January 2013 and offered an unusually low yield, resulting in a unique and deep concentration of flavors. It was selected by Assistant Master Distiller and Master Taster Chris Fletcher.

Intense and concentrated with caramel, dark chocolate, charred oak, honey, maple, dark vanilla, raw leather, banana bread, char smoke, spiced apple, milk chocolate, nougat candy bars, and Whoppers.
Palate
Very focused and intense with notes of clove, black pepper, caramel, fudge, honey, charred oak, candied butterscotch, cinnamon red hots, sweet oak, vanilla, candied ginger, vanilla-frosted birthday cake, bright citrus, toasted nuts, baking spice, and banana bread.
Finish
Long-lasting with spices that fade gradually, sweeter notes dropping off more quickly, a hint of roasted vanilla pods, moderate length, and lots of drying oak.
