Description

The Jack Daniel's Twice Barreled American Single Malt is a 2022 limited-edition release from the world-famous Jack Daniel's distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, owned by Brown-Forman Corporation. This unique American Single Malt Whiskey is crafted from 100% malted barley and undergoes the traditional Lincoln County Process of charcoal filtration. It is first matured in new, charred American white oak barrels for at least four years, then finished for an additional two years in freshly emptied first-fill Oloroso sherry casks from the Antonio Paez Lobato Cooperage, before being bottled at cask strength.

Mellow, fruity with stewed red fruits, vanilla, and floral scents. Notes of cocoa, plum, brown sugar, dark stone fruit, and a hot chocolate-like aroma. Hints of oak spice, raisins, dark chocolate, slight banana, bready notes, black pepper, figs, and nutmeg. Creamy richness from sherry and whiskey, with light pear, sweet green apples, and a whiff of cherry cola.
Palate
Packed with sherry flavors, woody oak, dark fruit, and sauce notes like strawberries and raspberries dipped in melted chocolate. Dark chocolate, cocoa powder, burnt brown sugar, cherry, and tobacco. Malt, vanilla, peppercorn spice, light maple, and charred oak. Oily mouthfeel with banana bread, semi-sweet chocolate, raisins, caramelized bananas, and figs. Viscous with dates, prunes, baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), black cherries, mixed berries, dark chocolate covered almonds, spiced French toast with banana and maple syrup, caramel, and oak.
Finish
Woody oak notes with spice and dryness. Tobacco and oak dominate, with baking spices like nutmeg and a hint of clove. Medium length with lingering fruit, baking spices, chocolate, caramel, and oak influence. Caramelized bananas, bready, and raisins.
