Nose
Complex with notes of rhubarb, mint, citrus (orange, lime), and other fruits, complemented by oak, caramel, vanilla, and a hint of spice like cinnamon and cloves. Some detect pine forest, tobacco, and pumpernickel with dill.
Palate
A silky and oily texture with prominent mint and peppery spice. Flavors include tropical fruits, cherries, pomegranates, apples, raisins, peaches, apricots, and citrus. Sweet notes of honey, caramel, and vanilla are present, along with oak wood, chocolate, and sometimes a hint of pickle juice or cardboard.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering notes of spice, oak, and mint. Hints of pineapple, salty liquorice powder, peppered chocolate shavings, citrus, vanilla, mixed berry, almonds, and nuts can be found, often with a charred-wood dryness.
