Description

Jefferson's Ocean Aged At Sea Voyage 24 is a one-of-a-kind blend of straight bourbon whiskies that have been extra-aged aboard a ship sailing the ocean. For previous releases of Jefferson's Ocean, the bourbon traveled across the equator several times, experiencing both hot and cold weather. Voyage 24, however, experimented with maturation fully in extremely hot and humid conditions throughout the Caribbean, with barrels exposed to high heat in containers on board the ship. The constant motion of the water, tropical humidity, and high heat encountered during the voyage resulted in a unique and exotic bourbon with caramelization and enhanced tones of vanilla.

Richer toffee, vanilla saltwater taffy, earthy espresso, clove, cinnamon, tart raisins, oaky, baking spice, roasted nuts, light brown sugar, sea salt, a little bit flat, muted flavors, dominant spice (cinnamon, pepper), overpowering sweet tea note.
Finish
Medium to long, dry and spicy, banana, oak, caramel, nutty, smooth, thoroughly coats the palate with notes of Cracker Jacks and sea salt, walnut, vanilla, lots of oak and cigar smoke, tannins, dry.
