Nose
Brown sugar, chocolate chip cookies, hints of smoke, caramel popcorn, white pepper, pears, with a detectable coastal Talisker note. Mellow and sweet spice, vanilla pod, hints of pepper, candied orange, and lemon cream.
Palate
Buttery and round, with malty sweetness and floral honey. Smooth with a charred sweetwood smoke, barley sugar twists, dark fruits, damson and sultana, toffee and whipped cream, and some herbal notes. Thin mouthfeel, with smoke, pepper, malty bread, sour citrus fruits, becoming creamy with buttered crumpets, and a discernible Cragganmore component.
Finish
Sweet, floral, oak, and a hint of peat. A long and lingering finish of sweet mince pie filling, demerara, and soft honey tones, which can become wood sour.
