Description

Johnnie Walker Blenders' Batch #2 Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish is the second release in the experimental Blenders' Batch series. Inspired by Master Blender Jim Beveridge's experiences in Kentucky, this blended Scotch whisky is composed from five distilleries, including grain whisky from the now-closed Port Dundas. It was aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels before a six-month finishing period in former American rye whiskey casks, aiming to reimagine Scotch through the lens of American whiskey.

Palate
Creamy and rounded with layers of vanilla, fresh banana, rye spice, buttery caramel, sweet oaky vanilla, apples, dried orchard fruits, warm baking spices, and a full-bodied, smooth texture.
Finish
Light but persistent, with sweet cereal notes, cinnamon warmth, a flicker of charred oak, lingering spices, golden caramel, nuts, dry spice, subtle pepperiness, and a warm woody note.
