Nose
Sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen, followed by notes of orange, raisins, figs, cinnamon, vanilla, ripe apples, roasted almonds, and milk chocolate. Floral notes, lemongrass, peach syrup, graham cracker crust, and a hint of salt.
Palate
Rich and full-bodied with abundant spice (white and black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon) and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies. Balanced with vanilla, sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee, roast nuts, caramel, honey, and a marked oakiness. Smooth, creamy, with notes of sandalwood, citrus, and a slight coastal character.
Finish
Long, surprisingly smoky, salty, spicy, and lingering peaty finish. Drier with more bitter oak, soft rich sweetness, After Eight mint chocolate, and a touch of maple syrup.
