Nose
Warm and invigorating, with a heavy and sweet fragrance. Perfumed and sophisticated, offering an oily and fruity character. Green fresh fruits, candies (life-saver? Those sour lemon drops?), brown sugar and baked dessert. Organic peat, hints of iodine, and lots of toffee.
Palate
Rich and creamy. Notes of apples and blackberries, delightful spiciness of sponge cake. Full-bodied, with fruity and dessert-like qualities. Malty sweetness dominates, with oak providing a good backbone. Sugar, toffee, honey, cereal, very light salt, little to no smoke, mostly sweet.
Finish
Surprisingly complex, with layers of flavor that linger. Sophisticated and balanced aftertaste. Medium slightly dry finish. Apple, pear, spice, and light smoke appears. Wisps of heather and general woods, possibly hits of smoke here and there. Grassy herbal notes linger on fades to light minty notes. Long and smooth. Sweet honey is followed by an echo of smoke and peat.
