Description

One of Scotland's best-known blended Scotch brands and the flagship whisky property of drinks giant, Diageo. It was introduced in 1867 by John Walker & Sons. The Johnnie Walker Platinum Label 18 Year Old was introduced in 2011, initially for travel retail in Asia, and was later rebranded in 2017 to 'Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years'. It was inspired by the tradition of 'private blends' created for special occasions. This subtle and smoky whisky delivers full flavors that reflect the strong, sweet, and elegant style of Speyside.

Rich and elegant, with aromas of toffee sweetness, dried fruits, orange, vanilla, caramel, and a subtle smokiness. Hints of fresh-cut flowers, butterscotch, stewed fruit, malty cereal, citrus, sea air, allspice, cigar paper, and sour oak are also present.
Palate
Full-bodied and smooth, delivering flavors of caramel, vanilla, oak, malted barley, and a soft, mild spice. Notes of dark fruits, malty cereal, fragrant almonds, tangerines, creamy honeyed malt, citrus peel, and gentle smoke are evident. It can also present as juicy, waxy, with cherry jam, fudge, blood oranges, rosewater, dark plums, and raspberries.
Finish
Long-lasting and elegantly rounded, with notes of dark chocolate, caramelised citrus peel, and light smoke. A lingering warmth, subtle oak sweetness, faint smoke, and hints of orange and spice are present, sometimes described as moderately long and drying, with salt and crisp red grapes.
