Description

One of Scotland's best-known blended Scotch brands and the flagship whisky property of drinks giant, Diageo. It was introduced in 1867 by John Walker & Sons and its range is headed up by its Red Label and smoky Black Label blends, and its premium Blue Label offerings. John Walker & Sons is a dormant subsidiary of the global drinks giant, Diageo, and its Johnnie Walker whiskies are its sales-leading brand. This very limited decanter was bottled by Diageo as a thank you to all the staff at the Hill Street plant in Kilmarnock when it was closed in 2011. The blend inside is based on recipes from the era when Hill Street first opened in September 1956, and is believed to include both Mortlach and Cardhu single malts.
