Description

An Island malt whisky distillery on the remote Hebridean Isle of Jura. Despite being closed for the majority of the 20th century, it was re-opened by Charles Mackinlay & Co in the 1960s and is today part of the Alliance Global Group via its Whyte & Mackay division. Jura 10 Year Old is a very nice dram perfect for sipping. It's a medium body expression with some sweetness on the palate, and a finish that sees some salty brine notes appearing. This is a great one for new whisky drinkers or if you're after something that's light and fresh.
