Description
Located on the West Coast of Scotland is the Isle of Jura, where the red deer population outnumbers the human population by 5000 to 200. The island lies only 60 miles from Glasgow, (as the crow flies), yet can take rather a long time to reach. It consists of one road, one pub, one distillery and one shop and is often described as remote. At the peak of the Jura distillery's core range (relaunched in mid-2018), the Jura 18 Year Old is matured for eighteen years in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and enriched by superior Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux red wine barriques, imparting a rich fruitiness and refined, subtle smoky notes.
