Description

An Island single malt whisky from the remote Hebridean Isle of Jura, part of the Cask Editions series. This expression highlights Jura's softer, distillate-driven side, matured exclusively in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. The distillery, originally founded in 1810 and re-opened in 1963, is known for producing fruity and balanced whiskies.

Nose
Fresh and creamy with vanilla fudge, coconut and light caramel. Behind that: green apple, pear and lemon oil, with a gentle oak accent and a subtle white pepper lift keeping it focused.
Palate
Rounded and smooth with a clear bourbon cask signature. Creamy vanilla and toffee first, then apple compote and ripe pear with a small citrus zest bitterness. The mid palate gains structure through toasted oak, a touch of ginger and a light nutty note that reins in the sweetness.
Finish
Medium length with lingering vanilla and toasted oak, followed by a dry, gently spicy oak grip and a subtle bittersweet citrus note. No sticky sweetness, just a neat, grown up dryness that pulls you back for another sip.
